I’m biased, but I think one of the fun attractions to the Turquoise Ball is the creative photo booth we always try to set up. This is my tenth year photographing the event and we’ve come along way since the day of the single, simple backdrop.

Every year the NAH Foundation comes up with a more elegant and visual way to extend the event’s theme into the photo booth photos. And this year has to be one of my favorite displays.

Huge kudo’s to Heather Ainardi and her team at the Northern Arizona Healthcare Foundation. Heather made the set in her garage and it literally just dropped into place in front of my big, black backdrop. We were going to just use the Drury’s floor but ended up covering that in black as well, since it made the display really pop.

Thank  you John Burcham for your photographic skills and moving people through the line – and to all the helpers (especially Shayla Puryear) who tracked all the names and kept John shutter clicking.

I absolutely love photographing this event and hope to see you all there next year!
