I love photographing big events in Flagstaff and the annual Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra Gala (Dance Me To The Moon) definitely qualifies for a big event.
I love the black tie. I love the music. And especially I love watching the dancing.
Which was great because once again, there was a Dancing For Our Stars competition (II).
Congratulations to the winning couple:
Eddy Bressler, Facilities Coordinator for NAU Residence Life, and his high school sweetheart, Jannette, co-director of Kingdom Kids preschool and former FSUD elementary school teacher.
The rest of the competition consisted of these amazing dancers:
- Todd Sullivan, Director of the NAU School of Music and his wife, Kimberly, violist in the Flagstaff Symphony.
- Lori Pearlmutter, Quality Manager at North Country Healthcare and Leonard Wood, a physical therapist at Mountain Valley Rehabilitation hospital.
- Björn Krondorfer, director of the Martin Springer Institute and his partner, Naomi Morrison, FUSD transportation special needs coordinator.
- Carrie M. Heinonen, CEO and the Robert Breunig Director of the Museum of Northern Arizona and Robert Breunig, President Emeritus at the Museum of Northern Arizona.
The annual Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra Gala is the primary fundraising event of the year and it was held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the High Country Conference Center. This year, the Gala celebrates the milestone of the 68th season with the theme Dance Me to the Moon. Below are some of my favorite images.
